H-18A
Built to run. Backed to last.
The H-18A is built for production shops that cut heavy material day in and day out. 18″ capacity. Dual-post frame. Servo shuttle. 10 HP direct-drive. And now with the AutoSet Control System standard, setup is automatic regardless of who is running the machine. The same HYDMECH build quality shops have counted on for decades. The same North American service support. Upgraded controls that match what the modern shop expects.
Now Standard on the H-18A
AutoSet Control System
Setup has always depended on the operator. Feed pressure too high and you burn blades. Too low and cycle times suffer. The AutoSet Control System takes that variable out of the equation.
Through the 7″ Mitsubishi FX5U touchscreen, operators enter three things: the material profile, the material width and type, and whether the cut is a single piece or a bundle. The system sets the blade speed, feed pressure, and downfeed rate automatically. It also recommends the correct TPI for that material and cut.
The result is consistent cuts regardless of who is running the saw. New operators are productive immediately. Experienced operators spend less time on setup. And up to 999 jobs can be stored with a 10-job active queue, so repeat work requires no setup at all.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What Buyers Ask About the H-18A
The H-18A is built in Woodstock, Ontario and backed by the HYDMECH North American dealer network, with local service and parts support when you need it.
Yes, flood coolant with a wash-down hose is standard. Mist lubrication is available as an option for shops that prefer cleaner operation with lower coolant consumption.
The blade deviation monitor detects blade drift in real time and alerts the operator before a cut goes out of tolerance. It is available as an option and is particularly useful in high-volume production environments where catching a drifting blade early prevents scrap and protects the workpiece.
Yes. Full-capacity hydraulic vises are standard. Hydraulic overhead bundling clamps are available as an option for shops doing regular bundle cutting, and can significantly reduce cycle times by allowing you to cut more material at the same time.
The operator selects the material profile, enters the width and type, and indicates whether it is a single piece or a bundle. The system automatically sets blade speed, feed pressure, and downfeed rate, and recommends the correct TPI. No manual calculation required.
